The 120-Hz ProMotion display is the first thing I noticed as I was setting it up. Much smoother scrolling, much brighter screen. I’ve seen 120-Hz displays before on review Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, but it’s nice to see it on an iPhone, which already had a pretty smooth scroll.
The phone got EXTREMELY warm as it was restoring from an iCloud backup. It go so toasty that I got a message that restoring would be paused ’til the phone cooled down. I sped that up by putting it on an ice pack from the freezer. I’ve never had an iPhone get that hot before.
I’m always impressed by how seamless the setup process is with a new phone. It usually starts by putting the new phone under the camera of the one it’s replacing, which captures a dot pattern to kick off the process. Because I’m on the iPhone Upgrade Program, I had to give up my 12 Pro Max when I picked this up from the Apple Store – but I use my iPad Air instead. From there I got a couple of prompts, but for the most part, it was automated. Even the re-pairing of my Apple Watch was a snap.
I haven’t yet had a chance to give the cameras a full workout, but I have tried the new macro photo feature, and it’s pretty cool. I’ve added pix here of a cactus on our balcony, and then a macro view of a tiny crepe myrtle flower that landed on it. I can’t wait to try out night mode.
The notch at the top of the screen is smaller on the 13 series, but to be honest I didn’t notice until I was reminded of it and paid some attention. It’s not that obvious.
I got the silver color … oh, excuse me, it’s called STARLIGHT now. 🙄 Silver edges, milky-white back. This is the color I had with the 11 Pro Max, and I’m happy to be back to it.

So today I am gonna review a magical product from @makeuprevolutionpakistan skin care.
This is 10%Niacinamide +1%zinc facial serum.
I am reviewing it after using it for more than a month in my AM routine.
I have seen a visible difference in my skin tone and texture. This serum has lightened/faded my acne spots. I haven’t noticed a SINGLE acne/blind pimple on my face since the day I started using this serum.
I have tried Niacinamide of many other highly rated brands but this one is the BEST.
What make it different from the other Niacinamide serums?
It isn’t harsh for skin. I haven’t noticed any redness or irritation, although my is sensitive. And it work FASTER than other serums. You’ll see visible difference after using it for approx a week or two.
